The question every family asks

How will your child stand out?

Every year, the most selective universities turn away thousands of applicants with near-perfect grades, a full slate of AP courses and impressive summer programs. Among the strongest students, those achievements begin to look alike.

What sets a scholar apart is a record that couldn't belong to anyone else: years of real university work, research that grew from genuine curiosity, and a body of work that tells one coherent story by senior year.

How University Scholars builds that record

  • University coursework beginning as early as Grade 9, including University of Washington courses for transcripted credit
  • Learning experiences at world-class universities, matched to each scholar's readiness and goals
  • Sustained research and a capstone, publicly defended in Grade 12
  • Three records at graduation: the All-Star Academy diploma and transcript, an official UW transcript, and a mastery-based learner profile
  • A dedicated advisor who helps shape all of it, year by year

Most schools prepare students for university. University Scholars helps them succeed in it, years before they apply.

Structured enough to build momentum. Flexible enough for serious interests.

Scholars balance high school coursework with university learning, advising, research, and independent work. The exact schedule is personalized.

Advising Individual planning, progress review, and support for ambitious academic goals.
Capstone studio Research, project development, documentation, and feedback over time.

Advising

One advisor. Four years. Eight scholars.

A dedicated guide who works alongside your family and your educational consultant.

Every University Scholar is guided by a dedicated advisor who stays with the cohort from the first day of Grade 9 through graduation. Your scholar's advisor is also their teacher. They lead seminars, supervise research and the capstone, and know each scholar's goals, strengths and story in depth.

With no more than eight scholars per advisor, guidance is personal, consistent and built over time, not assembled in the fall of senior year.

Working with an educational consultant? We welcome it. Independent educational consultants bring invaluable perspective and deep experience, and we see them as essential partners. Your scholar's advisor works alongside your consultant, sharing progress, coordinating plans and keeping everyone aligned, so your scholar benefits from the best of both.

The strongest applications are built through years of authentic achievement. Your scholar's advisor is there for every one of them.
